ALTESSE STUDIO & Co

ALTESSE STUDIO ALTESSE BEAUTÉ & , who's who? ALTESSE PRESTIGE

ALTESSE STUDIO is the parent brand, reflecting our expertise as a brossier since 1875, which offers you its 2 collections:

- ALTESSE BEAUTÉ : a top-of-the-range collection of 5 products of unrivalled quality, for all hair types and needs.

- ALTESSE PRESTIGE : a 100% handmade luxury collection, repairable for life, made in small quantities. Exceptional quality, handed down from generation to generation thanks to the quality of the materials used and the way the hair is stacked to suit all hair types.

What's the difference between ALTESSE STUDIO and other quality brushes?

We were already making the best brushes on the market on our own behalf or for big names in the hairdressing and beauty world, but we've gone one step further by innovating on our tufting method and selecting the best raw materials.

For our care brushes, we have found a tufting method that guarantees 100% wild boar brushes for all hair types, even the thickest, while having a massaging action on all scalps and providing the hair benefits linked to the use of wild boar hair when brushing.

No more need for nylon tips to massage the scalp or penetrate even the densest hair: boar bristles can now do it all!
Care performance is maximized because it's the boar bristles, not the nylon fibers, that pick up and distribute natural oils .

For our detangling brushes, we found an innovative, biobased fiber that we bundled with a technique enabling "magical" detangling, since it combines "softness" and efficiency, for precise, painless, breakage-free detangling.

Why this price for a hairbrush ?
  • 4 important elements go into the price of our
brushes:They are 100% made in France according to know-how dating back to 1875 by craftsmen who excel in their fields of expertise, all our brushes require many stages of entirely manual manufacture, precision and expertiseWe also use first-rate raw materials
choice: the best quality from boar bristles and an olive wood handle entirely crafted in our carpentry workshop by our craftsmenThe longevity of your brush: a brush of such quality will take care of your hair for at least 15 to 20 years for the BEAUTÉ collection or even a lifetime and several lifetimes for the PRESTIGE collection which is repairable for life! The manufacturing method: the difference in price between the BEAUTÉ and PRESTIGE collections is due to the stacking method specific to the PRESTIGE collection. The drilling, counter-drilling and piling are entirely hand-made as in the 19th century, which makes them so exceptional and rare; these brushes also benefit from a lifetime warranty thanks to our repair service, which will take care of your brush and restore it to its original condition even after decades of use.

WILD BOAR HAIR

Why use a brush boar bristles ?

Wild boar have always been bred and killed for their
meat. Their skin is then dehaired for use in the
leather industry. The bristles were initially destined to be thrown away, so an upcycling circuit
was created to supply this raw material to manufacturers
of brushes (hair, household, clothing, etc.).

Are wild boars killed for their hair?

THE WOOD

Are trees harvested solely for their wood?

No !

The wood for our sleeves comes from trunks felled by
olive growers when they are too old to produce olives.

The trees are between 50 and 100 years old, which is what makes this wood so rare.

What do you do with your wood waste?

When we shape our sleeves from sawdust and wood offcuts, we give a second life to this waste in the spirit of a rational manufacturing process.

Scrap wood is distributed to staff for use as firewood.

The sawdust and wood shavings are recovered and given to a local farmer who uses them as a soil improver for his orchard, returning the wood
to the soil.
