Crafting a brush from the Prestige Collection involves 22 steps and 7 hours of work. It is the purest expression ofStudio craftsmanshipStudio no machine replaces the human touch; every step is performed 100% by hand, from start to finish.

- In the woodworking phase, production begins with cutting the olive wood, followed by drilling drilling (mastering this technique perfectly requires years of training).
- The brush and its handle are then carved, shaped, sanded, and oiled by hand to give it its form and design.
- Next comes the delicate step of bristle insertion, once again done by hand. Véronique, a worker at Altesse 1986, is one of the last brush-making artisans to master this technique. She manually inserts each tuft of first-cut wild boar bristles into the brush head using nylon thread, without glue. It’s like fine jewelry work. For each brush, this single step takes between 45 minutes and an hour.
- Next comes the filling: the holes through which the thread was passed are carefully closed. This is where the art of brushmaking truly shines.
- Finally, the brush is slipped into its case.
